The ASM auto tensioner and idle pulley kit, designed to complement the TODA Light Weight Pulley Kit.
As if the Mugen steering boss wasn’t fancy enough… This is the ASM racing boss, machined aluminum body with a dry carbon plate. Made for all S2000 to fit most Momo, Nardi and Personal steering wheels.
TODA light weight pulley kit for the F20C/F22C (AP1/AP2)
Developed to give lighter and sportier engine characteristic. By reducing the overall weight (and inertia) of the 3 pulleys, and by modifying the alternator pulley ratio to take advantage of the more sporty use, the burden on the engine is reduced helping to improve acceleration performance. A standard length belt for the AC kit and shortened belt for the AC less kit is provided. Installing with a new belt is important to help improve the running in process of the new pulleys. A good affinity material is used on the oil seal face of the crank pulley to reduce friction improving sealing and to reduce wear. The hexagon socket design of the original crank pulley is retained so that Honda’s service tool can be used when loosening or tightening the crank pulley bolt.
• Additional scale for checking ignition timing
• 2 pieces structure
A good affinity material is used on the oil seal face of the crank pulley to reduce friction improving sealing and to reduce wear.
• Duralumin A-7075
A hard base material is used the reduce wear increasing longevity of the pulleys and helping to prevent damage such as stone chips.
• Red anodizing (Alumite)
These red anodized pulleys help to enhance the appearance of the engine bay.
This particular kit is made in Japan for all S2000 model years.
The new Copper Fiber Clutch System from Mugen offers substantial performance gains over the OEM unit. In addition to increased performance and durability, this complete kit gives a much more direct feel.
As the name implies, the clutch disk is impregnated with copper; this provides much more stability and friction for high-performance applications. The disc has stiffer springs than OEM, as well as the elimination of the cushioning plate.
The pressure plate is considerably stiffer, and the surface is Mugen’s proprietary steel.
The flywheel is a lightened unit, with a super-durable face.
This kit is an incredible 13.7 lbs. lighter that OEM and reduces spinning inertia by 42%.
Comes complete with: clutch disk, pressure plate, flywheel, pilot bearing, release bearing, and ultra-strong flywheel and pressure plate bolts.
It is now day three of this transformation and most of the major components have already been installed. With the rear braking and suspension system now in working order, we turn our attention to the head of the car.
Earlier this year Allan hooked up with a 2008 Honda S2000 CR, leaving his long time love, the DC5 (let’s call her, Kasumi) for a bolder, more beautiful AP2 (and this one, Hitomi). Some months have past, remaining a virgin, unmolested, sitting happily in the garage and occasionally coming out to play… all this is about to change. Allan had been acquiring some serious ingredients for this newfound love of his, we’re talking about a total transformation, from a mildly attractive girl to Miss. Universe.
The completely list out the ingredients is just ridiculous, so when I say the entire brake and suspension system is being taken care of, I really do mean just. As for the power unit, it is the usually combo, intake, header, exhaust plus a killer tune.
Arrived yesterday afternoon, Allan’s 2008 Honda S2000 CR. With the rain on and off all day the car was not able to be washed/detailed. Hoping to see some sun later next week so we can get in some good detailing time and pictures.
