Love it, hate it or just plain don’t understand it… The Lancia Hyena is just that.
The floor-pan structure, power unit and foot-work is of the Delta Integrale. Everything else moving upward was designed by the late Marco Pedracini, possibly better known as Zagato to you younger chaps.
The two-door body is made up of composite/alloy, as for the interior, you will find yourself overwhelmed with carbon fiber. Because of this the Hyena is about 200 kilograms lighter than the original Integrale.
This particular Hyena did make a pit stop in Japan before coming home to Canada. The exhaust system and entire foot work department was completely swapped with everything PRESTO JAPAN had to offer.
It’s not something you see everyday, let alone drive one. I had the pleasure of just that this evening. Only 24 of these were ever made, and there is only one in the whole of North America.
Finally, it has all come together… the full Rieger kit, novitec coilovers and novitec wheels. All in time for this weekends Tutto Italiano, which is an annual Italian car and food fest located at the Vancouver Italian Cultural Centre.
Tutto Italiano

The 2012 Fiat 500 Prima Edizione equipped with all the optional parts from factory, the crème de la crème. Unfortunately it will not be staying this way for long. In the coming weeks this 500 will under go some cosmetic surgery.
Although it was just a simple servicing, it is always nice to see the Martini 5.
A bunch of new parts came in over the weekend which included a complete new set of headlights with bezel.
Group A side mirrors… they are completely useless if you are wondering, they are there just because they look so damn good!
Momo steering wheel which was gifted by a dear friend.
Derlin ball shift knob, boot and bezel.
Lastly for this show and tell, Speedline Corse Montecarlo magnesium wheels.
We will be seeing more of this beast further into this week. A limited production vehicle and now a collectors item, maintenance is a whole new ball game.
No, unfortunately this is not Evo’s Evo, although identical in colour it may be, Evo’s elephant powered machine is still somewhere in Hong Kong, supposedly making its way to some container onto some boat! ETA, at this point, completely unknown! For the time being our friend has kindly lent David his Evo, so that we can learn to appreciate what fine Italian engineering is all about.
Arrived yesterday afternoon, Allan’s 2008 Honda S2000 CR. With the rain on and off all day the car was not able to be washed/detailed. Hoping to see some sun later next week so we can get in some good detailing time and pictures.
