You may have noticed by now we love our brakes here at Evo Garage. Although the Evo already had Brembo 4-pots from factory, as previously stated, they just weren’t cutting it. At the moment it’s quite hard to see the custom brake setup with these Speedline Monte Carlos, once the skies start clearing up the Speedline Champions will be making an appearance.

What to you do when you feel you’re brakes aren’t performing to where you would like them to be. Go in the direction of what professionals would use, go above and beyond. Don’t at any point ask yourself “Do I really need this?” Chances are you don’t. BUT rest assured whatever it is you are dealing with will no longer be a problem.

This custom setup tailored to the Integrale Evo was derived from said solution. Having changed rotors and pads TWICE with no significant results, because saving money at the time felt like a great idea, one had to stop and ask. “WHY!?” To be annoyed, angered, stressed, having wasted time by an object just seemed unnecessary. We are reminded of a famous quote at this time “It is expected when playing with cars.” So just get it done right the first time.

Almost two months in the making, this kit was blueprinted here at Evo Garage. With cooperation from Ferrari, a team from Brembo was then invited to the dealership to gather some final data on the 612. However none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for Melissa over at STILLEN, thank you for making this happen!

You know it! Because the Odyssey travels at such ridiculous speeds, upgrading the calipers and rotors was obvious. Safety is always first, especially when it comes to our loved ones. To insure this, a set of AP Racing twin blocks and rotors where specially designed for this everyday family van.

LEDA SYSTEM INSTALL ON THE INTEGRALE EVO

The superior suspension setup consisting of Koni Yellows with Eibach springs were taken out of the Integrale Evo a couple nights ago, from the car to it’s final resting place, the trash bin. For it’s replacement the Evo was given a brand new set of custom made 24-way adjustable bound and rebound Leda coilovers paired to some Eibach springs.

Because spending money on expensive pretty lug nuts are a must, extended studs were installed to the front and rear hubs, replacing the traditional European concept of using wheel bolts.

Shortly after the Evo arrived, there was always this question of why does this car not stop as it should. Last night the calipers were taken apart for a deep clean and service, not so surprised to see one of the rears were seized, luckily it was able to be saved. The lack of braking performance was also caused by three of the four lines being semi to completely clogged, luckily there was already a set of Goodridge stainless brake lines here. The Endless pads that went into the car earlier this year were chucked in place for Ferodo DS2500s, Brembo sport slotted rotors were also installed.

Coming in late this year, the DC5 is only now going though its upgrades. Couple of the major changes this year will be the install of Mugen N1 coilovers & corner balancing of the car. Today the old Öhlins PCV using Swift 140 (14K front) and 160 (16K rear) springs came out. To its replacement, a set of Mugen N1 rocking Swift 160 fronts, 280 rear springs and Cusco camber plates.
